Welcome Deacons and students in Diakonia

As you may or may not know, Diakonia is a Greek word coming from Paul's writings. It is loosely translated servant, as the early preachers needed someone to take food to the widows and orphans. This blog is for those who are either students in a Diakonia program, or, like me have graduated and are now serving in their churches and communities.
After graduating from my program through the ELCA, I was commissioned to the ministry of Adult Christian Education in my home congregation Resurrection Lutheran Church in Yardley, PA. To this end, I have been facilitator for our Men's Group and writing and teaching adult Sunday School. it is my plan to have this blog available for discussion and sharing among present and futures Deacons.

Peace,

Deacon Clyde
